An Engineering Lead with at least 5 years of experience in team leadership of developers and testers with strong expertise in Agile practices, team facilitation, and organizational transformation.
We are seeking for an experienced engineering lead who aids and guides the team in day to day operations. Together with the Tech Leads they share the responsibility of facilitating processes, tools and resources that the team needs to achieve maximum potential. Additionally, the position serves as an interface to other teams and HR and takes on operational duties and decisions to relive the team.

Your tasks

Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional engineering team of tech leads, developers and testers to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions that enhance the discovery experience
  • Onboarding and guidance of new employees regarding cultural fit and organizational overview. Responsible for handling conflicts within the team
Team Development:
  • Define individual career paths and development plans
  • Evaluate and support functional performance by conducting the employee appraisals
  • Ensure continuous development of team members and ensure knowledge transfer between them
  • Onboarding and guidance of new employees in coordination with the Product Owner, Tech Lead and Scrum Master
  • Take active part within the recruiting process in close cooperation with the Recruiter
Team Administration:
  • Manage team resources on an operational level (vacations, time compensation, timesheets, etc.) and balance with business needs
  • First point of contact regarding HR topics. Headcount planning, Cost center responsibility & interface to Controlling/Accounting
Release Management:
  • Owner of the release process, Improving release management processes and tools
  • Support teams in planning and managing release plans and timelines, ensuring that deadlines are met and identifying and mitigating risks
  • Drive technical and operational excellence by supporting engineering best practices, implementing scalable solutions, and focusing on continuous improvement within the teams

Your profile

  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role in an agile environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a comparable role in release management, ideally in the gaming or banking sector. Strong skills in time management, SCRUM, and project management
  • In-depth understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC). Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and facilitate discussions among technical teams
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools
  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English, German is a plus
