We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Junior Accounts Executive to join our Finance team in Malta. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about accounting and finance and eager to further develop their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Group’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely processing of accounting transactions. If you are organised, proactive, and keen to grow your career in accounting, we would love to hear from you.
Your tasks
- Checking and accurately inputting supplier invoices within the accounting system
- Communicating with suppliers regarding invoices, payments, and account-related queries
- Handling payments to suppliers in a timely and accurate manner
- Preparing sales invoices for issuance to B2B customers
- Recording bank transactions and performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure balances align with accounting records
- Supporting the finance function with day-to-day accounting activities
- Filing and maintaining invoices and finance-related documentation in an organised manner
- Managing the accounting mailbox, ensuring queries and issues are identified, escalated, and resolved in a timely manner
- Performing any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Your profile
- An A-Level qualification in Accounts or an equivalent accounting qualification
- Previous experience in a junior accounting or finance-related role
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude
- A genuine interest in accounting and finance, with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience using accounting software; familiarity with Business Centre software will be considered an advantage
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
