We’re excited to welcome a new NOC Engineer (Office Hours) to Greentube Malta! This role is a rare find in the NOC world; Monday to Friday, no shifts, and a team that genuinely enjoys working together. Your tasks
- Monitor the production environment to ensure optimal availability and performance
- Analyze performance metrics across servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, cloud environments, and load balancers
- Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, or properly escalate infrastructure-related alerts (CPU, memory, disk utilization, etc.)
- Monitor and assess security-related alerts impacting infrastructure, applications, and services
- Perform event and incident detection, analysis, and response activities
- Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for operational incidents and escalations
- Provide high-quality B2B support to internal and external stakeholders
- Adhere to established escalation paths and ensure timely communication
- Maintain a strong first-time resolution rate by resolving incidents directly where possible
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, technical guides, and process workflows
- Produce accurate daily operational reports
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional technical teams to ensure smooth operations
- Manage and configure backend systems (e.g., account setups, access configurations)
- Utilize scripting skills to automate tasks or address business requirements
- Perform log analysis and support basic threat-hunting activities
- Work with SIEM platforms for security and operational monitoring
Your profile
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools
- Solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts (switches, routers, firewalls, IPS, etc.)
- Foundational knowledge of network security principles
- Experience with professional monitoring tools and dashboards
- Exposure to SIEM platforms and log analysis is considered an advantage
- Basic database knowledge (SQL) is beneficial, though not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Proactive communication style with a high level of ownership
- Ability to perform reliably under pressure and in high-stress situations
