This role shares leadership responsibility with the Technical Lead and holds disciplinary leadership for the team. Acting as a key interface between technology, people, and operations, the Team Leader ensures smooth collaboration within the team and across departments while creating a structured, motivating, and high-performing working environment.
With a strong background in games operations and delivery, the role balances day-to-day operational leadership with people development, resource planning, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring both business continuity and team growth.
Your tasks
- Lead the team’s operational priorities, ensuring transparency, focus, and timely resolution of ongoing topics and escalations
- Act as the primary people leader for the team, covering HR-related topics such as development, performance management, conflict resolution, motivation, and labor-law-related matters
- Manage team resources on an operational level, including vacation planning, time compensation, and workload balancing in line with business needs
- Drive effective collaboration within the team and with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a central interface across departments
- Establish and maintain efficient meeting structures, communication routines, and a well-maintained team knowledge base
- Lead onboarding and integration of new team members, ensuring cultural fit, clarity of expectations, and smooth ramp-up
- Support recruitment activities together with the Technical Lead, from role definition to candidate selection
- Enable continuous knowledge sharing and ensure critical know-how is transferred and retained within the team
- Contribute to team development by supporting individual career paths, development plans, and regular performance feedback in close alignment with the Technical Lead
- Share responsibility for cost-center topics and act as an interface to Controlling and Accounting
Your profile
- Several years of experience in operations or support environments, ideally within the iGaming industry
- First hands-on experience in leading teams, with a strong interest in people development and disciplinary leadership
- Educational background in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (HTL, Bachelor’s, or equivalent professional experience)
- Solid understanding of the software product lifecycle and operational delivery processes
- Experience communicating effectively across different levels of an organization and with external partners
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, combined with a proactive and structured working style
- Confident use of MS Office tools; familiarity with Jira and Confluence is an advantage
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and a clear motivation for continuous personal and professional development
