MYNT is our new supplier platform: the technology connecting games, operators and the services around them. We’re looking for a Tech Lead who enjoys solving real engineering problems in distributed, production-critical systems — and bringing people with them.
You’ll join a squad building and evolving MYNT, staying close to the code while providing the technical leadership to turn product needs into practical solutions, create clarity and help the squad deliver confidently.
This is a hands-on leadership role spanning technical design, implementation, production, team enablement and wider platform alignment.
What you’ll do
Technical leadership & solution direction
- Guide the squad’s technical direction, turning product needs into solutions that fit MYNT’s wider architecture.
- Stay hands-on, contributing where it adds most value while guiding the solution as a whole.
- Create clarity around technical options, trade-offs and risks, and drive decisions to practical conclusions.
- Manage dependencies and downstream impact with architects and other Tech Leads where decisions cross boundaries.
- Balance delivery needs with maintainability, scalability and long-term platform evolution.
Engineering quality, ownership & production
- Own the technical quality and production behaviour of solutions delivered by the squad.
- Promote sound engineering practices across implementation, review, testing, release and production support.
- Ensure significant and recurring production issues are investigated to root cause.
- Maintain visibility of technical debt, performance and reliability concerns and ensure they are addressed deliberately.
Team enablement & delivery
- Provide technical guidance, feedback and mentoring that helps engineers grow and succeed.
- Build squad capability through knowledge sharing and broader system understanding.
- Bring technical perspective to planning and estimation, identifying dependencies and delivery risks early.
- Help the squad deliver reliably, balancing speed, quality and sustainability.
- Enable engineers to take ownership and make sound technical decisions themselves.
Collaboration & platform alignment
- Partner with the Product Owner from discovery through delivery, bringing technical context to product decisions.
- Work with architects, Tech Leads and neighbouring squads to align cross-team solutions.
- Communicate technical decisions, constraints and risks clearly to stakeholders.
- Share knowledge and lessons learned across the wider engineering organisation.
What we’re looking for
- At least 2 years in a hands-on technical leadership role such as Tech Lead or Lead Developer.
- Ability to guide engineers, drive technical decisions and improve team outcomes while remaining hands-on.
- Strong professional experience building backend systems using object-oriented programming languages (such as Java), with a preference for C# and .NET, including modern .NET/.NET Core.
- Hands-on experience with Entity Framework / EF Core and relational database design.
- Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems and service-based architecture.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns and clean architecture, applied pragmatically.
- Experience with CI/CD, testing and production support.
- Structured problem-solving and strong ownership of technical and production outcomes.
- Ability to make decisions and move work forward in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience mentoring and enabling developers.
- Clear, pragmatic communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent English.
Nice to have
- Containerised/cloud-native environments such as Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
- API gateways, messaging, gRPC, event-driven or asynchronous architectures.
- Performance tuning, query optimisation and database scalability.
- High-availability or high-throughput transactional systems such as gaming, betting or fintech.
